It has been a year of adjustments for all of us and for Alcoholics Anonymous. In January of 2020 there was a lot of excitement and interest in the General Service Conference scheduled for June.

A dozen men attended the special online annual business meeting on Friday, October 30.

Happy October! Not much new to report for this month. Very slowly some Sacramento area groups are back to meeting in person. Many groups are waiting to hear if they will ever be able to return to their previous meeting places.

Sobriety fills the painful “hole in the soul” that my alcoholism created. Often I feel so physically well that I believe my work is done. However, joy is not just the absence of pain; it is the gift of continued spiritual awakening.
